EAST WINDSOR: Man accused of striking juvenile with wooden club Westfield Road

   EAST WINDSOR — Police said Monday that Pedro Lopez, 31, of Windsor Castle Apartments, was charged with aggravated assault for striking a juvenile with a wooden club on Westfield Road.
   The charge stems from a group fight which broke out after 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 22, at a Westfield Road park, according to the East Windsor Police Department.
   Mr. Lopez faces an aggravated assault with a weapon for his part in the fight, police stated.
   Police said people had dispersed prior to police arrival, but shortly afterwards, two individuals, a man and a juvenile boy, were located on Lincoln Avenue in Hightstown.
   Both individuals had lacerations to their torsos, police said. They were transported to University Medical Center at Princeton and later released.
   The investigation is ongoing and more charges are anticipated, police said.
