Dr. Wolf sponsors essay contest
Giving Smiles Foundation Inc., which is sponsored by orthodontist Dr. Laurene Wolf of Hillsborough, will continue the 5th annual “Giving Smiles” program, which recognizes local children and teens for community service and/or charitable activities.
Children in kindergarten through 12th grade are eligible to enter to win one of several prizes, including first place of free braces (valued at $5,955) and also a $1,000 donation made in the child’s honor to the charity of their choice.
The second-place winner will receive a $750 donation and third place $500 donation to the charities of choice.
”Throughout my 15 years of practicing in Hillsborough, I’ve been made aware of so many of my patients heartfelt acts of kindness and generosity that they’ve been involved with,” said Dr. Wolf. “Our youth have such demanding lifestyles, including school, home and family, yet so many find the extra time to give back to our local community.”
”To enter, submit a maximum 500-word essay that describes the child’s community service and/or charitable activities. Children can also be nominated by another individual.
Completed essays can be submitted either online at [email protected] or mailed to Giving Smiles, c/o Dr. Laurene Wolf, 205 Towne Centre Drive, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. 908-431-0888. Essays must be submitted by Monday, March 18.
