Middlesex County College will honor Women’s History Month in March with the theme of “Women’s Health, Body, Mind and Spirit.”
The program will include workshops from motivational speaker Traciana Graves, and a discussion of eating disorders by Stacey Prussman.
Other than where noted, all programs are free and open to the public.
A lecture on eating disorders by Prussman is scheduled for March 4 at the College Center, Corral Restaurant at 11 a.m.
She will discuss the progression of her own eating disorder and the different types of eating disorders while adding a fresh, humorous twist to a serious subject.
On Tuesday, March 5, chef Christine Banks will host “Very Veggie — Learn How to Make Vegetables Your Star Ingredient” at the Crabiel Hall Demonstration Kitchen, 6:30-9:30 p.m. The cost is $5 for students, and $10 for faculty, staff and alumni.

Traciana Graves will give a lecture on Wednesday, March 6, entitled “I Have a Voice and a Choice,” in the College Center, Room 100, at 11 a.m.
Graves is a speaker, singer and civility expert. Motivated by the hazing-related death of her stepbrother, she will speak on creating civility, student engagement and women’s empowerment.
A domestic violence information table will be set up in the College Center lobby from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. on March 18.
Also March 18, a Women’s History Trunk Exhibit entitled “A Time of Turmoil” will be presented in the College Center main lounge, 11 a.m.-1 p.m. On loan from the Middlesex County Cultural & Heritage Commission, the exhibit continues on March 20, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
On Thursday, March 21, a theater trip to see “Mama Mia” is scheduled. The bus leaves at 5 p.m. Tickets are $25 for students, and $30 for faculty, staff and alumni.
On Saturday, March 23, a bus trip to the Franklin Institute is scheduled. The bus leaves at 9 a.m. and returns by 5:30 p.m. Tickets are $10 for students, and $15 for faculty, staff and alumni. This includes admission to the museum, the Titanic Exhibition and transportation.
On Monday, March 25, Nicole Dominguez will present a lecture entitled, “Faith and Hope: Domestic Violence Prevention Program,” in the College Center Corral at 11 a.m.
The domestic violence information table will be set up that day in the College Center lobby from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
On Wednesday, March 27, Kelly Smith will present a lecture entitled “Women’s Total Wellness” in the College Center in Room 319 at 11 a.m.
