East Windsor
Kathleen Montanez, 54, of Perrineville, was charged with driving while intoxicated, careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane 11:25 p.m. Feb. 8 on Etra Road. Police said an officer responded to a report of a single vehicle accident on Etra road with the vehicle off the roadway in the woods. The driver was found to be unsteady on her feet and had an odor of an alcoholic beverage and bloodshot, watery eyes. She was uninjured in the accident. She was given field sobriety tests and charged with DWI. Ms. Montanez was later released pending court action.
Officers responded the Target store for a report of a shoplifting complaint just before 3:30 p.m. Feb. 9. Store personnel reported that two juveniles had been observed wandering around the electronics department and removing security devices from several items, police said. Both teens are residents of Hightstown, and police said the 14-year-old and 17-year-old were observed by officers on the security system to take several items and leave the store. Police said the 14-year-old was apprehended after he left the store and was charged with shoplifting. The 17-year-old fled from the officers on foot but he was caught shortly afterwards, and was charged with shoplifting and obstructing.
The stolen property, worth $126.23, was returned to the store and the juveniles were released to family members pending court action.
Steven Bleicher, 44, of Bolton Road, was charged with driving while intoxicated. An officer observed a 2012 Toyota traveling westbound on Route 133 in an erratic manner 9:35 p.m. Feb. 10. Police said the vehicle was stopped after it exited Route133 and pulled into the Burger King parking lot. The driver was found to have slurred speech and passed out while the officer was conducting his investigation. Mr. Bleicher was awakened and administered field sobriety tests.
Mr. Bleicher was also charged with being under the influence of narcotics, reckless driving, careless driving and failure to maintain lane. He was later released pending court action.
The complainant reported that he had left the McDonalds restaurant without his iPhone worth approximately $200 on the table between 1 a.m. and 1:10 a.m. Feb. 11, police said. He returned several minutes later but the iPhone had been stolen.
Hightstown
Just before 2 p.m. Feb. 24 officers responded to the 200 block of Stockton Street on a reported burglary and theft. Police said the victim reported that between August last year and February an unknown person or group entered the basement of the residence and took various tools, China, stemware, and crystal glasses of an unknown value.

On 2/21/13 at 4:48 p.m. a resident of the 100 block of Hausser Avenue reported an incident of attempted criminal mischief. The victim reported that unknown subject(s) scattered thumbtacks across the driveway of the residence in an attempt to damage the victim’s vehicle. No damage was reported to the vehicle, tires, or the driveway.

At 10:40 a.m. Feb. 23 on First Avenue officers charged James McGlinchy, 41, of First Avenue, Hightstown, for contempt of court. Officers responded to the residence on an unrelated matter and learned that the subject had an active warrant for his arrest issued by Hightstown Borough Municipal Court in the amount of $1,500, police stated. Mr. McGlinchy was taken into custody and was transported to the Mercer County Adult Correction Center in lieu of bail.
Officers responded to the 200 block of Wilson Avenue on a report people “rifling” through a vehicle 2:33 p.m. Feb. 25. The victim did not report any items missing, but found the interior compartment of the vehicle disturbed, police said.
