ROBBINSVILLE: Middle school wrestlers go unbeaten

ROBBINSVILLE — The Knights of Pond Road Middle School completed their second consecutive undefeated season.
The final win of the 13-0 season marked the 27th dual meet win in a row for the Knights. Led by head coach Sean Grieg and assistant coach Anthony Paglione, the team continues to improve and grow.
The Knights also placed second in the 2013 Mercer County Middle School Championships held at Robbinsville High School on Feb. 10, with champions in four weight classes. Champions Brent Grocott, Garrett Bilgrav, Logan Fox and Kyle Twamley led the team, also completing their individual seasons undefeated.
The Knights also had three third-place finishers in Taylor Twamley. Zach Bilgrav and Jack Shea.
The team is supported by a strong wrestling community in town that starts with the Robbinsville Wrestling Association, the local recreational wrestling league. Many of the Knights got their first experience on the mat in the RWA program. The wrestling family in Robbinsville continues through the high school team and all three teams work together to support the athletes, as well as host the Mercer County high school and middle school tournaments, the RWA Duals and the NJSIAA Region 7 high school tournament. This is all possible through the scores of dedicated volunteers from this community that have been vital to the growth of the sport.
