BUSINESS HIGHLIGHTS: Princeton Farmers Market, congratulations

By Bradley Koltz
I checked out the Princeton Farmers Market last month, which for the winter is held once a month in the warm and dry community room at the Princeton Library.
More than a dozen local farmers, crafters and foodies were showcasing, and offering everything from amazing cheesecakes to fresh eggs to beautiful floral arrangements.
In the age of conglomerate “frankenfood,” it’s terrific to be able to actually meet and connect with the people who grew and cooked the food, understand not just how they approach their job, but why they do it.
Visit the Princeton Farmers Market at the Princeton Library on March 14 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., or learn more about the market and the growers and others who participate at www.princetonfarmersmarket.com.
Cheesecake
If you can’t get to the Princeton Farmers Market on Thursday, you can still get amazing cheesecake by visiting The Great American Cheesecake at 1308 Lawrenceville Road in Lawrence Saturdays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. My favorite, so far, is the maple praline. Call them at 609-577-9111 or visit online at www.thegreatamericancheesecake.net.

On-site registration begins at 3 p.m. and the Fun Run begins at 6 p.m. To register early online, visit www.crowdrise.com/hugsforbrady5kfamilyfunrun.
