LAWRENCE: Police blotter

   Someone smashed the driver’s side window on a 2010 Ford Mustang while it was parked at its owner’s home on Alcazar Avenue between 7:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. Feb. 28, but nothing was reported missing.
   Jewelry, a television set, electronics and cash, worth approximately $4,500, were reported stolen from a Manitee Avenue residence between 8:40 a.m. and 5 p.m. Feb. 28. The burglar forced open a window that was accessible from the deck to get inside.
   A Johnson Avenue resident called police at 8:01 p.m. Feb. 28 to report the theft of jewelry, worth approximately $2,000, which was taken from her residence between Feb. 7 and Feb. 27. There were no signs of forced entry.
   Joseph Volk, 31, of Fairbanks Place, was charged with criminal mischief and possession of burglar tools — a hammer and a screwdriver — after a witness called to report that he was attempting to pry open a mailbox on Fairbanks Place that did not belong to him. He was released on a summons.
   A bicycle roof rack, valued at $400, was reported stolen from a 2006 Toyota Scion while the car was parked at the Lawrence Library on Darrah Lane between 9:55 a.m. and 1 p.m. March 2, causing $200 worth of damage to the car.
   Six pairs of Air Jordan sneakers, valued at $2,300, were stolen from underneath a bed in a student’s first-floor dorm room in Olson Dorm at Rider University between 3:30 p.m. Feb. 27 and 11:30 p.m. March 2. There was no sign of forced entry.
   Andrew Pilataxi-Urgiles, 18, of Hamilton, was charged with shoplifting clothing worth $80 from Macy’s at 3:17 p.m. March 3.
A woman walked out of the DSW Shoe Warehouse at the Mercer Mall with two Ralph Lauren brand handbags, valued at $280, at 5:23 p.m. March 3. Store employees tried to stop her, but she got into a car and left the shopping center.
   Michael Procaccini, 19, of Kendall Park, and William Williams III, 18, of Woodstown, were charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia — a pipe — after police investigated reports of a suspicious car parked on Rossa Avenue at 10:10 p.m. March 3.
   Stan Bakley, 32, of Hamilton, was charged with theft for allegedly taking scrap metal and tools from Central Transport on Lawrence Station Road at 10:37 a.m. March 4. The scrap metal was valued at $2,000 and the tools were worth $1,416.
   An assortment of jewelry, valued at $2,400, was reported stolen from a Princeton Pike residence between 7:20 p.m. and 8:50 p.m. March 4. The burglar forced open a rear window to get inside.
