Eden Autism Services, a New Jersey-based not-for-profit organization serving individuals with autism, has announced its lineup of leading research and medical professional guest speakers for its 19th Annual Lecture Series, an open forum where leading authorities in the field present new findings and future possibilities for the treatment and awareness of autism, the Lecture Series, hosted by Princeton University’s Department of Physics, takes place on Friday, March 22, 2013 from 9:00 am – 4:00 pm.
This year’s Lecture Series features Eric Hollander, MD., A Clinical Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and Director of the Autism and Obsessive Compulsive Spectrum Program at Montefore Medical Center and the Albert Einstein College of Medicine. He will be discussing Inflammation and Personalized Medicine in Autism.
Also speaking will be Valerie Hu, Ph.D., a Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Medicine at the George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences, as well as a mother of a son with autism spectrum disorder. She will be discussing An Integrative Genomics Approach Towards Understanding, “What causes autism?”
Rounding out the line-up is Ronald Comer, Ph.D., a professor in the Department of Psychology at Princeton University. He will be discussing The Treatment of Autism: Overcoming Myths, Misguidedness, and Research Myopia.
Special Guest speaker for this year is Marilyn Benoit, MD., Senior Vice President of Clinical and Professional Affairs and Chief Clinical Officer for Devereux Programs.
Held at the University’s Friend Center, admission to the Lecture Series is $75.00 for general public and $25.00 for students, and includes continental breakfast and lunch. The day concludes with a question and answer panel discussion comprising the featured speakers and additional experts in the field.
