Mr. Schlentz, 82, of Greensboro, N.C., formerly of Freehold, died on Feb. 21, 2013, at Moses Cone Hospital, Greensboro. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served during the Korean War. Mr. Schlentz was employed as a purchasing manager for Buck Engineering for more than 45 years. He was predeceased by his first wife, Marilyn Dailey Schlentz; and a brother, Leroy F. Schlentz. Surviving are his wife, Ellie Bohlken Schlentz; three sons and two daughters-in-law, James and Madelyn Schlentz of Freehold, and Bob and Lisa Schlentz of West Chester, Pa., and Rich Schlentz of Greensboro; two daughters and a son-in-law, Debbie and Rick Pelaccio of Huddleston, Va., and Gail Schlentz of Corona Del Mar, Calif.; 20 grandchildren and 12 greatgrandchildren. Funeral services were held at the First Lutheran Church, Greensboro. Interment will be in Freehold. Arrangements were by the Hanes Lineberry Funeral Home, Greensboro.
