The Red-Headed League of Jersey, which meets twice a year, is one of many scion societies of the Baker Street Irregulars, the leading American Sherlockian society. Members share a common interest in the consulting detective created in the 1880s by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle.
Like many of the societies affiliated with the BSI, the organization takes its name from one of the 56 short stories and four novels penned by Conan Doyle. Red hair is not required for membership or attendance at any of the dinners.
