HILLSBOROUGH: RoboRaiders share science with autistic kids

On March 3 the RoboRaiders invited autistic children and their mentors to see science projects at the team’s warehouse on Route 206.
The team collaborated with Bros United, which pairs brothers in a fraternity house paired with autistic students. A total of 23 autistic students came to the warehouse from noon-2 p.m.
The students could visit a variety of booths pertaining to science. At each booth, two RoboRaider members were stationed to manage the supplies needed to complete projects. The activities at the booths included building lava lamps, producing slime, creating a boat that can hold pennies, making paper airplanes and a demonstration of the team’s robot.
