   The Crosswicks United Methodist Church roast beef dinner will be held 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the church.

   The Fernbrook Farms Education Center 2013 Spring Break Camp is being held March 26, 27 and 28 and April 1 and 2 at 142 Route 545, Chesterfield.
   The program is available for ages 6 to 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Children may attend any number of days. Optional extended care is available from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. and 4 to 5:30 p.m.
   The daily schedule of feeding animals, exploration, snack, activities and journal time mirrors the summer camp schedule. Spring break is a wonderful time to explore and learn outdoors.
   The wildflowers are coming up, the lambs are being born, and Fernbrook Farms is an exciting place for students to enjoy a day outside with friends. Fernbrook Farms Education Center holds Spring Break Camp annually to coincide with as many schools breaks as possible.
   Fernbrook Farms is a 230-acre working farm with more than 60 acres of woods, two streams and two ponds.
   Larry Kuser, third-generation owner of Fernbrook Farms, created the Education Center in 2001 to provide hands-on educational experience for people of all ages by exploring the complex interconnectedness of their natural world.
   Its purpose is to educate about agriculture, sources of food and the importance of nutrition for healthy lifestyle. Mr. Kuser believes people should make meaningful connections with the natural world in order to become responsible stewards of local and global sustainability.

   The Chesterfield Township Keen Agers meeting will be held at noon Wednesday, March 27, at the Chesterfield firehouse.
   Any Chesterfield resident 55 and over is welcome to attend.
   Keen Agers meetings are held two times a month on the second and fourth Wednesdays. Meetings are held January through June and September through December. There are no meetings in July and August.
   Dues are $3 per year.
   Keen Agers begin with a potluck lunch, which is served at noon, and members bring whatever they would like to share.
   The meetings start at 1 p.m. There are various guest speakers, including local police who keep members informed on points of interest.

   The Chesterfield Township Elementary School Board of Education budget meeting will be held 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 27 in the Media Center at the Chesterfield Township Elementary School, 30 Saddle Way, Chesterfield.
   The meeting will be open to the public and may go into executive session if necessary. Formal action may be taken.
   The board may consider other items that may come before the board.

   The Chesterfield Hose Company Ladies Auxiliary sport-themed flea market and hoagie sale will be held 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the Chesterfield Hose firehouse at 300 Bordentown-Chesterfield Road (Route 528), Chesterfield.
   Give new and used sports equipment a new life by setting up a table at the first annual sports-themed flea market and hoagie sale. Any sports-related item is acceptable from soccer shoes to boats.
   In order to display large items, such as boats or quads, rent a space. The cost to rent a space will be $20 with an additional $5 to rent an 8-foot table.
   Spaces will be indoors and outdoors; request a location upon registration. Registration forms will be available by email.
   Hoagies will be available the day of the flea market or by advance order. Hoagies are $5 each. Order forms will be available by email.

   The Chesterfield Township Elementary School Parent Teacher Association annual “On Fire: A Monte Carlo Experience” will be held 7 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at Old York Country Club in Chesterfield.
   This is an adult-only night of casino-style gaming, silent auction, spirits and more.
   Tickets are available for $60 per person, which includes a three-hour open bar and $25 in gaming chips upon entry.
   This annual school fundraiser is sponsored by the PTA in conjunction with many devoted local friends and families. At this time it is asking for support by way of sponsorship, advertising and/or direct donation.
   The PTA also is encouraging everyone to join this fun-filled event.
   All proceeds will benefit directly the educational programs at Chesterfield Township Elementary School.

   Chesterfield Township residents Bill and Nancy Curry are riding in the 12th annual Tour de Force to raise funds for families of fallen officers.
   The ride each year is dedicated to those that made the ultimate sacrifice.

   The Crosswicks Friends Meeting invites families to join it Sundays at a 9:30 a.m. assembly for all, 10 a.m. worship for adults and First Day School for children 2 and up.

   The Chesterfield Township Emergency Squad is seeking new volunteer members to join the organization.
   The squad has been providing emergency services to residents of Chesterfield and surrounding towns since 1988 and this year is celebrating its 25th year of service.
   It is looking for enthusiastic men and women to join the ranks of the squad to help assist neighbors in need of medical help.
   Consider joining the squad. It will reimburse new members the cost of becoming an emergency medical technician.

   Chesterfield Township residents interested in being on the budget advisory board should visit the township website and fill out the citizen leadership form.
   The form is for township residents interested in volunteering to serve on township boards or commissions.

   The Chesterfield Township Environmental Commission is participating in a recycling program for inkjet cartridges, toner cartridges and cell phones.
   These items will be recycled into usable products. The commission receives credits for each cartridge and cell phone and will use the credits toward reforestation, protection of natural resources and ecological education for residents.
   Collection boxes are located at the Crosswicks Library, Chesterfield Township Municipal Office and Chesterfield General Store.
   Help protect the environment by recycling used cell phones and inkjet cartridges.
