COLUMBUS NEWS: Week of March 21, 2013

   The Mansfield Township Committee meeting will take place March 27 at 7:30 p.m. in the Mansfield Township Municipal Building on East Main Street.
   The Consolidated Fire Association at 20 Crosswicks St. in Bordentown will sponsor Lenten dinners in March.
   The remaining dinners are from 4 to 8 p.m. each week. The dinners will take place March 22 and 29.
   People may eat in, take out or request delivery for local homebound residents.
   Entree choices are fried cod, fried chicken or coconut shrimp.
   The cost is $12 per senior; $13 eat-in or takeout; $14 for delivery; or chicken nuggets at $8 for eat in- or takeout orders; $9 for delivery per order.

   The next Mansfield Township Board of Education meeting will be held Monday, March 25.
   The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Mansfield Township Elementary School on Mansfield Road East in the Media Center.
   The Consolidated Fire Association will hold its annual Easter flower sale from March 28 to March 30 at the firehouse at 20 Crosswicks St. in Bordentown.
   Wesley United Methodist Church, Main Street, Columbus, is sponsoring a Good Friday program March 29 at 9 a.m.
   Fellowship time and a 9:30 a.m. “Seven Last Words of Christ” worship program will be held in solemn remembrance of this day in the Christian calendar.

   Those planning a bridal shower, baby shower or a birthday party should keep in mind there is a historic building in town for events.

   A home-cooked ham dinner will be held at the Columbus Grange on Saturday, May 4.
