NEW HOPE — The annual Community Passover Seder, hosted by Kehilat HaNahar, will take place March 26 at 6 p.m. at The Lambertville Rescue Squad, 70 Alexander Ave., Lambertville.
Last year’s event attracted more than 100 residents from all over the Delaware Valley. The entire community is invited to attend and celebrate the second night of the eight-day holiday.
The Seder will be led by Rabbi Diana Miller, Kehilat HaNahar’s spiritual leader, and will feature the reading of the “Haggadah” — the story of the Passover from Exodus.
”Passover marks the Exodus from Egypt when the Israelites were freed from slavery,” said Rabbi Miller. “Our Seder offers a lively occasion to relive the experience of slavery and redemption. Together, we read about our history, sing Passover songs, and eat delicious Passover food.”
The vegetarian and fish meal will feature a salmon entrée and favorite side dishes including “kugel” and “charoset,” as well as fruit and vegetable salads and casseroles.
Reservations should be made immediately. Call 215-862-1912 or [email protected].
Costs are: Synagogue members: $25 per person (13 and over); $12.50 for children (5-12); nonmembers, $30 and $15, respectively. Children 5 and under are admitted free.
Doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for registration on March 26.
Celebrating its 19th year as a Reconstructionist congregation in the heart of historic New Hope borough, Kehilat HaNahar offers a full calendar of weekly and holiday services, a religious school for students ages pre-K through 10th grades, as well as diverse adult programs.
