NJ State Library Highlighting Library Resources to Job Seeking Veterans

Representatives of the New Jersey State Library and the Mercer County Library System were on hand to explain and demonstrate online library resources and classes available to job seekers through the library at the Hiring Our Heroes job and coaching fair held at Rider University’s Student Recreation Center, Lawrenceville, on Thursday, March 21, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The event was hosted by The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, ESGR, The American Legion, New Jersey State Library, and other partners, including American Legion Post 414, Rider University, the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs, the Department of Labor’s Veterans’ Employment and Training Service, the New Jersey Department of Labor and Workforce Development, the Veterans Administration, and the State Parole Board. Over 125 employers and service organizations filled the floor and lobby of the Recreation Center.
The next Hiring Our Heroes Job Fair will be in Camden County at the Susquehanna Bank Center, 1 Harbour Blvd, Camden.
