State Sen. Barbara Buono, the likely Democratic nominee for governor, is expected to attend the Hillsborough Democrats’ second annual Community Day on Saturday, April 20, from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Hillsborough Point Clubhouse on Render Drive.
Sen. Buono should be there between 10 and 11 a.m. to meet people and answer their questions, said Michael Goldberg, chairman of the Hillsborough Democratic Party.
Also expected to attend will be state Assembly candidates Christian Mastondrea and Marie Corfield; county candidates Keiona Miller and Richard Arline; and Will Kole, local Township Committee candidate and president of the Hillsborough Democratic Community Club.
Attendees can stop at the help desk to receive and complete voter registration and vote-by-mail applications, sign up to be a campaign volunteer and participate in activities on Hillsborough local issues. Local business owners are invited to attend and share their ideas.
A panel discussion on environmental issues facing Hillsborough is scheduled for 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. as well as discussions on political organizing, immigration.
