The Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central Jersey – IACFNJ a non-profit organization in central jersey recently held its BI-annual elections to select Executive Committee members for the next two years.
The Executive Committee and Trustees held the elections on Feb. 23 and unanimously elected the new committee, according to the organization.
The IACFNJ General Committee meeting was held on March 23 at the 999 Hotel on Route 1 to announce the new committee members and discuss 2013 events.
During that meeting, Secretary Tushar Patel announced the names of the newly elected members of the Executive Committee which are as follows; Mahesh Patel-Chairman, Tushar Patel-President, Hitesh Patel- Vice-President, Mac Shah-Treasurer, Deven Patel-Secretary, Deep Shukla-Joint Secretary and Rajesh Patel as Joint Treasurer.
In addition, Raojibhai Patel, Murthy Yerramilli, Rewo Nawani and Jadhav Chaudhari will continue to serve as Trustees of the organization.
The Cultural, Food and Fund Raising Committees were also formed to enhance the current activities of the organization.
IACFNJ will hold their annual summer picnic on Sunday, June 9 at Mercer County Park, West Picnic area from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., with detailed information about the picnic provided in the near future.
The organization will also hold its annual India Independence Day Celebration at the South Brunswick Family YMCA on Culver Road in August, with detailed information on the Independence Day Celebration announced sometime in June.
The organization will also organize its Navratri Garba celebration in South Brunswick in October 2013.
The IACFNJ is made up of dedicated, young and enthusiastic committee members and volunteers under the leadership of newly elected executive committee, and trustees, which are committed to provide community events in 2013.
