The American Legion Post 401 Safety Essay Contest was won by Soorya Suresh, an 8th Grade student at Crossroads North Middle School, South Brunswick. This marks the second year in a row Suresh has won the contest. She also placed second in the Middlesex County competition. “Soorya’s essay was thought provoking because it discussed an issue today’s children face that I never had to deal with at her age: cyberbulling,” said Gary Cooper, post commander, who presented the award.
