The Rumson Country Day School, located at Bellevue Avenue and Ridge Road, will host the 44th annual rummage sale, “A Whale of a Sale,” on April 20, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. and April 21, 10:30 a.m.-2 p.m. in the school’s Blake Gymnasium.
The best selection and bargains are available on April 20, according to a press release from the school. On April 21, there will be an “all-you-can-fit-into-a-bag” special set at one price.
Donations are sorted to cull the best items for the special boutique sections of women’s and children’s clothing and accessories. In addition, the silent-auction area is stocked with furniture, antiques, china, crystal and collectibles. The sporting goods section is particularly popular with a selection that often includes golf clubs, ski and hockey equipment and exercise apparatus.
There is also a large selection of home furnishings, kitchenware, general home goods, bric-a-brac and toys.
Shoppers can also stock up on current novels, cookbooks, children’s books, how-to book and more in the book section.
Proceeds of the sale fund the financialaid program, which provides financial assistance to many children who attend the school.
