FLEMINGTON: Community shred event April 27

On April 27 from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at RVIS, 361 Route 31, Flemington, there will be a free community shred event.
Sponsored by Bedard, Kurowicki & Co., CPAs, Raritan Valley Insurance Services and Cynergy Benefits, residents cam help prevent identity theft and help the planet.
Confidential paperwork will be shredded. There also will be a barbecue, face painting, music and more! No preregistration is required.
A state-of-the-art, technologically advanced mobile destruction truck from Assure Shred will be available to dispose of sensitive and confidential documents such as tax returns, bank statements, medical receipts, etc. The shredded material is then shipped to a paper mill where it is made into recycled paper.
As an added security measure attendees will be able to view the destruction process through a closed-circuit video to ensure complete confidentiality. Feel free to leave paperclips and staples in documents, but remove binders and large clips.
Only paper documents will be accepted; no electronics, computers, diskettes, USB devices, etc.
CPAs from Bedard, Kurowicki & Co., as well as insurance experts from RVIS Agency and Cynergy Benefits, will be available all day to offer an opinion on records retention, or answer any related questions.
