Two 21-year-old men were charged with sexually assaulting two female minors, ages 15 and 16, after giving them alcohol in the Mountain Lakes Preserve Saturday afternoon.
Brian Espina-Martinez of Princeton and David Stephens-Parker of Montgomery allegedly gave alcoholic beverages to two girls, one from Princeton and one from Cranbury, and sexually assaulted them after they reached a level of intoxication sometime between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., police said.
Sgt. Mike Cifelli said the men each assaulted one of the minors, who appeared to be acquaintances of the men.
Sgt. Cifelli said they received the initial report at 2:54 p.m. when the parents of the two girls, one from Princeton and one from Cranbury, came to the station concerned about their children being intoxicated. After interviewing the victims, it was revealed they had also allegedly been sexually assaulted, police said.
Mr. Espina-Martinez was charged with three counts of sexual assault and three counts of endangering the welfare of a minor. Mr. Stephens-Parker was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault and one count of serving alcohol to a minor.
They were both taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center in Hopewell with bail set at $250,000 full cash for each defendant.
