SPRINGFIELD HAPPENINGS: Week of April 18

  Adult pickup basketball of the Springfield Recreation will be held Friday evenings from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Springfield Elementary School.
   The Northern Burlington Regional School District ‘s PTSC is sponsoring a clothing drive from April 22 through April 30th.
   Articles accepted include: clothing, shoes, blankets, bedding and stuffed animals. Items can be brought in plastic bags to the pole barn located behind the Northern Burlington Middle School. Access to the barn is off Island Road.

   The Springfield Township Historical Society is meeting Wednesday, April 17. Resident genealogist, Judy Olsen, will present letters from Burlington County Civil War soldiers, focusing on Springfield Township men, describing travel, food, camps and some battles plus at lot more.
   The Springfield Township Historical Society meeting is Wednesday, April 25, at 7:30 p.m. in the Municipal Building.
   The Parent Teacher Student Connection (PTSC) of Northern Burlington County Regional School District invites the community’s senior citizens to attend the ninth annual Seniors Citizens Prom May 4. The Saturday dinner dance will take place from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the auditorium of NBC high school, 160 Mansfield Road East, Mansfield.
   While there is no charge for the event, tickets must be obtained in advance.
   Space is limited so early sign-up is encouraged.

   Springfield Township is seeking volunteers for several EMS and Fire Department openings.
