LUMBERVILLE, PA – The Lumberville-Raven Rock Toll-Supported Pedestrian Bridge reopened for public use shortly before 3 p.m. today, the Delaware River Joint Toll Bridge Commission announced today.
The popular suspension bridge was shut down to public use on March 4 for a comprehensive rehabilitation project that is expected to put the facility in its best overall condition since it was constructed and opened in 1947.
Three more weeks of work still need to be conducted at the bridge and the public could encounter short-duration service interruptions from time to time.
Work activities are not scheduled to take place this weekend and the public is encouraged to visit and enjoy the reopened structure.
