UPPER FREEHOLD
Narrative: This 47.5-square-mile township has more than 6,000 aces of preserved farmland and over 3,000 acres of preserved open space within its borders, including state and county parkland. Dairy farm operations of previous centuries have evolved to the crop farming and horse breeding operations of today. The historic districts of Walnford and Imlaystown, both in Upper Freehold, are listed on both the national and state registers of historic places.
