Freehold Borough police chief will meet with senior citizens

FREEHOLD — Police Chief Glenn Roberts will be reaching out to the members of Freehold Borough’s senior citizen community to inform them of some do’s and don’ts and he will also provide some important safety tips through a series of meetings which will be held at the borough’s senior citizen residences and in the municipal courtroom.

Roberts said he is working with Councilwoman Sharon Shutzer, who serves as the Borough Council’s representative to the Freehold Borough Office on Aging. Roberts and Shutzer will attend the meetings for the seniors.

The meetings will take place as follows:

May 14, 10 a.m., for residents of the Rug Mill Towers in the Rug Mill Towers community room, 40 Jackson Street.

May 16, 10 a.m., for residents of Hudson Manor in the Hudson Manor community room, 40 Hudson Street.

May 21, 10 a.m., for residents of the Monmouth Court Apartments in the Monmouth Court Apartments community room, 107 Throckmorton Street.

May 23, 10 a.m., in the municipal courtroom, 38 Jackson Street, for any senior citizen in Freehold Borough who does not reside in a senior residence.
