Plumsted Township
Situated on 40.2 acres in western Ocean County, Plumsted Township is a rural community dotted with farms and horses and a Main Street with architecture reminiscent of days gone by.
Plumsted was incorporated in 1845 as a part of Jackson Township, which then was part of Monmouth County.
New Egypt is an unincorporated area located within Plumsted.
With its lakes, fields and parks, township officials and residents are dedicated to preserving the township’s rural character while supporting its recent development.
