Brookdale to host Law Enforcement Career Fair

MIDDLETOWN — A Law Enforcement Career Fair and tribute to first responders will take place at Brookdale Community College on May 17 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the Student Life Center on the Lincroft campus. The event is free and open to the public.

Representatives from at least 25 federal, state, county and local law enforcement agencies will be present to promote careers in the respective agencies, a few of which are presently hiring, according to organizers.

Among the agencies that will be represented are the Drug Enforcement Administration; Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives; FBI; Immigration and Customs Enforcement; Secret Service; U.S. Department of Homeland Security; New Jersey State Police; Monmouth County Sheriff’s Office; and the Ocean Township and Neptune Township police departments. A complete list is available on the college website.

The event is sponsored by Brookdale’s Criminal Justice Department in partnership with the Central New Jersey Chapter of NOBLE, the National Organization of Black Law Enforcement Executives.

NOBLE members and Brookdale criminal justice professors will join the many law enforcement agencies at the event to promote careers in the criminal justice system.

Members of the public are also invited to attend and join the college in thanking the members of NOBLE and all first responders who risk their lives to protect and serve citizens each day. A special memorial tribute will be paid to those who have fallen in the line of duty.

Inquiries about the event should be directed to Barbara Gonos, professor of criminal justice, at 732-224-2541 or [email protected].
