 The spring session of “Dancing by the Peddie Lake” with Candace Woodward- Clough, a four-week class offering instruction in swing, fox trot, waltz and Latin dancing, will be held at 112 Etra Road, Hightstown.  The Compassionate Friends, a bereavement support group for those who have lost children at any age, Mercer Chapter, will hold its monthly meeting June 3. The group typically meets on the first Monday of each month at 7 p.m. at the Capital Health System of Hamilton, 1445 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, Hamilton.  The Monmouth County Democratic Women’s Caucus in partnership with Sustainable Jersey invites municipal representatives and the public to a seminar about funding opportunities for going green and rebuilding after superstorm Sandy. The seminar will be held 7-8:30 p.m. May 13 at the Monmouth County Library Headquarters, 125 Symmes Road, Manalapan. Guest speakers will be Donna Drewes of Sustainable Jersey and pro-environmental lawyer Dante DiPirro. The program will offer clear guidance and tools to invigorate municipalities and make the most of community resources. Light refreshments will be served.

 The Millstone Township Open Space and Farmland Preservation and Agricultural Advisory Councils will host the seventh annual clambake fundraiser on June 2 at Wagner Farm Park, Millstone.  The Allentown Lions Club Memorial Day parade will be held rain or shine beginning at 10 a.m. May 27. Parade-goers are advised to arrive by 9:30 a.m. due to Main Street and High Street road closures. A memorial service will follow the parade on the Allentown grammar school grounds.
