Mayor Francis “Mac” Womack planted a tree outside of the Goddard School of North Brunswick on April 22 to kick off the school’s weeklong “Root for Earth” celebration in honor of Earth Day. All nonessential lighting was shut off for one hour, the student body planted spring flowers and a vegetable garden was prepared.
