Sidewinder, a contemporary and traditional country music band, will play from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, in the Community Room.
The concert is free; the public is invited. Light refreshments will be served.

Book sale continues: The library’s book sale continues. Buy the donated and surplus books to help support the library. Hardcover books cost 50 cents, softcovers 25 cents or by the bag for $2.
New periodical: A Polish-language newspaper, Nowy Dziennik or The New Daily with a subtitle of Polish Daily News is available for reading at the library. The paper is published in New York City.
Storytime: Registration has begun. Children must be 3 ½ to 5 by Aug. 31. Storytime will meet from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesdays, May 15, 22 and 29. Call the library at 908-722-9722 for information.
Kids’ crafts: Next free session is Thursday, May 30, at 3:30 p.m. for pupils in kindergarten to fifth grade. Register for this program.
Hungry Readers Book Club: The club meets from noon to 1 p.m. the second Monday of each month. The next meeting is May 13. For information, call Beverly Ball at 908-722-3057.
Chess classes: The library is offering free classes for all ages. Call Henry at 908-458-5324 to schedule a class. All are welcome.
Crochet Club: Come and join the club at 6 p.m. the last Wednesday of the month (May 29) in the Community Room. Experienced or not, you will be welcomed. Bring your own needles and yarn.
Change in fines: Most fines have been increased. The list is available at the circulation desk. Overdue fines are 20 cents per day.
Regular hours: Regular hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
Gifts for the library: If you have DVDs and CDs you no longer need, consider donating them to the library. In addition, IRS tax-deductible monetary contributions are accepted. Donations are greatly appreciated.
Cost of copies: The price has been changed to 10 cents for black-and-white copies and 40 cents for color copies.
The Manville library is now part of the Somerset County Library System. Manville residents who have a library card should not discard it. It will be your card to use at any library within the Somerset County system. You will not be issued a new card. New cards will be created for those who do not have one.
