OCEAN GROVE — The New Jersey State Association of Chiefs of Police will host the 29th annual Statewide Law Enforcement Memorial Service for law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty in New Jersey.
This annual tribute will be held at the Great Auditorium at 11 a.m. May 21.
Co-sponsors of the event include the N.J. Police Chiefs Foundation, N.J. Policemen’s Benevolent Association, N.J. Fraternal Order of Police, N.J. State Troopers Fraternal Association, N.J. State Police, FBI, N.J. Sheriffs Association, N.J. County Prosecutors Association, NJ Police Academy Directors Association, New Jersey State Police Survivors of the Triangle, Garden State Survivors, NJSP Non-Commissioned Officers Association, U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration, and the NOBLE North Jersey.
The memorial service brings together the entire law enforcement community and the public for a day of solemn remembrance, according to a press release from event organizers. Each year, the governor provides keynote remarks, and the state attorney general speaks on behalf of the law enforcement community.
All members of the law enforcement community, family, friends and the public are welcome to attend. No RSVP is required.
