   The Plumsted Township Republican Club, meet at 7:30 p.m, at the Bible Baptist Church on Magnolia Avenue in Plumsted. The meeting is open to registered Republicans and undeclared registered voters who would like to declare themselves as Republicans. The group meets on the third Thursday of each month except July, August and December.
Fri., May 17
   The Star Factor, offered by the Allentown Presbyterian Church’s Rock On Christian Kids (ROCK) Group will help participants learn how every person has a special and unique purpose through a fun and thrilling musical production. The community performance will occur on the 17th at 7 p.m. There will be an additional performance during worship services Sunday, May 19 at 8:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. The Church is located on 20 High Street/Route 539 in Allentown. Sat., May 18
   Free paper shredding, hosted by Millstone Township, will take place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 4 Baird Road, Wagner Farm Park. All papers will be shredded on location in the mobile truck. Please remove large binder clips. Staples and paper clips are OK. Participants are asked not to bring more than 100 pounds of paper. Due to heavy demand, weight limit will be strictly enforced. Service will stop once truck filled. This is a free service to all county residents and is sponsored by Millstone Township and the Monmouth County Freeholders.    Walk to End Brain Tumors, will take place at the New Egypt recreational field at 10 a.m. The short walk winds through Historic New Egypt. It is an easy walk that his handicap-friendly.    Family Fun and Safety Day, sponsored by the Mercer County Firemen’s Association and the Mercer County Commission on Abused, Neglected, and Missing Children, will feature fun and important information for people of all ages. The event takes place at the west picnic area of Mercer County Park, located on Old Trenton Road in West Windsor, from noon to 3 p.m. The free event offers information on fire prevention and crime prevention in addition to music from a live DJ, face painting, pony rides, a moon bounce and games.    Tenth annual Golf Classic, sponsored by the Robbinsville Township Education Foundation will be held at Mercer Oaks Golf Course, 725 Village Road, Princeton Junction.    Open House, will be held by the MOMS Club of Robbinsville at 10:30 a.m. at Tantum Park on Meadowbrook Road. The Club is a support group for at-home mothers living in Robbinsville, New Jersey. Our members are stay-at-home mothers or moms who work part-time and are looking for opportunities to make friends, share experiences in raising our children, give a little back to the community, and have fun! Mon., May 27
   Allentown Memorial Day Parade, hosted by the Allentown Lions Club will be held rain or shine, starting at 10 a.m. Attendees are asked to arrive by 9:30 a.m. due to Main Street and High Street Road closures. A memorial service will be held following the parade on the Allentown Grammar School grounds. Antique cars are welcome to participate in the parade.    Plumsted Memorial Day Parade, will begin at 1 p.m. on North Main Street at Bright Road and continue along Main Street and Jacobstown Road to Meadowbrook Lane. Parade officials urge participants to arrive at Bright Road, from Evergreen Road, by 12 p.m. for the Parade. The American Legion, in conjunction with other organizations, will host the Memorial Day services when the parade concludes. Refreshments will be served. Sat., June 1
   National Trails Day, please join Plumsted Township, Main Street New Egypt, the Plumsted Township Environmental Commission and Plumsted Youth for Nature and the Environment for an opening day and trail clean up event at the Union Transportation Trail on from 10:00 a.m. to 1 p.m..The trail starts at Volunteer Park on Evergreen Road and ends at Route 537. The round trip walk is approximately two miles. Pre-registration for the trail clean up is desired but not required.    Open Space Clambake Fundraiser, hosted by the Millstone Township Open Space and Farmland Preservation and Agricultural Advisory Councils will return for the seventh time to Wagner Farm Park in Millstone Township. Limited tickets are available and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are $30 per adult and $10 per child if purchased by May 20th. Child tickets do not include lobster.    Winter Storytime Sessions at the Allentown Library. Stories, songs and fun activities every Thursday at the library located at 16 S. Main St., Allentown. No pre-registration required! Schedule includes: “Good Morning Storytime” from 10:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. for ages 3 and under with a parent or caregiver (siblings welcome); “Preschool Storytime” from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for ages 3 to 5; and “Family Storytime” from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. for all ages. Video Tapes, Readers Digest Condensed books, Magazines, or Encyclopedias are not accepted.
