   Auditions for the rock musical Rent: School Edition will be held at 5 p.m. at the Bordentown Performing Arts Center. All actors between the ages of 15 to 19 are welcome to audition. The Bordentown Performing Arts Center is attached to Bordentown Regional High School, and is located at 318 Ward Ave., Bordentown. Sat., May 25
   The Friends of St. Mary’s School will hold a Flea Market from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. in St. Mary’s School Hall and Yard, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown. Refreshments will include tuna salad or egg salad sandwiches and hot dogs. Inside tables are $10 each; outside space is $5 each. To reserve space call Sallie at 298-7768.
Sun., May 26
   Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 280 Crosswicks Road, Bordentown, invites all military personnel, veterans and their families to a special Memorial Day worship service 10:03 a.m. and luncheon immediately following service. If you would like to honor an American Soldier who lost their life fighting for our freedom, you can do so by purchasing an American Flag for $5. Flags will be placed around the American Flag post outside our church, names will be remembered during prayer service and money generated from sales will be donated to the Veterans’ Families United Foundation.
   Randy Now’s Man Cave will have a booth at the Trenton Punk Rock Flea Market, 449 S. Broad St., Trenton, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

   At the end of May, St. Mary School’s annual golf outing is set for the beautiful Mt. View Golf Course in Ewing. The cost is $135 for a round of golf — 8 a.m. shotgun start, cart, driving range, full hot breakfast —7 a.m., full hot lunch with open bar at 1 p.m., awards, and much more.    The Bordentown Elks, 11 Amboy Road. Bordentown Township, hold a Daniel’s Fight with Evans Syndrome Tricky Tray from 6-10 p.m. $15a ticket, includes one sheet, desserts, coffee tea, water will be served and a cash bar for soda. All proceeds benefit research at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia.

   The First Presbyterian Church of Bordentown, 420 Farnsworth Ave., is offering tables for rent in prime location for the Bordentown Community Wide Yard Sale on June 1 and 2. A donation of $15 is requested and reservations or information may be obtained by calling 609-298-8163.
Wed., June 5
   The Bordentown City Farmers’ Market will opens, entering into its fourth season of operation. It will run every Wednesday (rain or shine, except for declared weather emergencies) until at least Wed., Sept. 25. Hours will be between 3 p.m. to dusk. The market will be held at the Carslake Community Center at 207 Crosswicks St., Bordentown. Vendors will be allotted a space either inside and/or outside dependent upon weather conditions.

   The Bordentown City Green Team is looking for folks to help plan and organize the fourth annual Bordentown City Green Fair, scheduled for 10 to 4 p.m. Sat., June 8, at the Carslake Community Center Questions and more information – email [email protected]. The events will include exhibits, vendors, cellphone4 and ink cartridge recycling, paper shredding, walking tours, electric cars, music, children’s activities, a plant swap, and bike registration. The schedule includes: 11 to 11:20 a.m. storyteller, 11:30 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Across the Street(band), 12:15 to 1 p.m. Bootstrap Bandits (band), 1 to 1:20 p.m. storyteller, 1:30 o 2:15 p.m. Carter and Glen (band), 2:30 to 3:15 p.m. Spring Muse(band) and paper shredding 2 to 4 p.m.

   The Roebling Museum fourth annual Car Show will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at 100 2nd Ave., Roebling. Admission: $5. Children under 12 free. Rain date – July 28.

   Bordentown Elks Lodge 2085 has bingo every Tuesday at 7:15 p.m. Doors open at 5 p.m. There is a progressive jackpot, and food is available for purchase. The lodge has sandwich night every Wednesday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The price is $6 per person. Lodge 2085 hosts a breakfast the third Sunday of every month from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Special Children’s Committee.
   Kindergarten Roundup is approaching for the Bordentown School District. Community members who have children who will be 5 or older by Oct. 1 may visit www.bordentown.k12.nj.us to download registration information or may contact either Clara Barton Elementary School or Peter Muschal Elementary School for a registration packet.
   St. Mary’s Senior Citizens Club meets second Monday of the month at 1:30 p.m. on the second floor of the Parish Center, 45 Crosswicks St., Bordentown City.
   Any parent who suspect his or child may be slow in developing language, social, motor or cognitive skills may be eligible for the Bordentown Regional School District’s preschool disabilities program. Contact the Child Study Team at 609-298-0025, ext. 1135.

   St. Mary School, 30 Elizabeth St., Bordentown City, has established a fundraiser Market Day where roasts, snacks, breakfasts, lunch and meals for families can be ordered. The club meets the first and third Monday of each month at 1 p.m. at the Senior Community Center on Municipal Drive. All township seniors age 55 and older are welcome.
