A Rydal Drive resident took matters into his own hands when he discovered that someone was driving off with his Chevrolet Avalanche pickup truck just before 5 a.m. May 22, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.
The victim saw someone driving his vehicle from the driveway, police Detective Sergeant Joseph Amodio said. The victim got into another car in search of the thieves, and located his pickup truck on Stout Avenue in Ewing Township.
The victim blocked the pickup truck with his car and began to yell at the men.
The two men jumped out of the pickup truck and fled, Sgt. Amodio said. The victim and his wife drove the two vehicles home, and notified the police around 5:18 a.m.
