Mr. Salvaggio, 85, of Freehold, died May 12, 2013. He was a U.S. Army combat veteran of the Korean War. Prior to retiring, he was the purchasing agent for Moore-McCormack Lines, Brooklyn, N.Y., for 38 years. He was predeceased by his wife, Josie; a brother, John; and two sisters, Vita and Angie. Surviving are four sons, Anthony, Joey, John and Salvatore; a daughter, Rose DiLorenzo; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his companion, Rose Aquilano. A funeral Mass was offered at St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, Freehold Township. Interment was in St. Gabriel’s’ Catholic Cemetery, Marlboro. Arrangements were by the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.
