Youth Police Academy set for July in E.B.

The East Brunswick Police Department is accepting applications for its eighth annual Youth Police Academy. The academy will be held July 8-12 between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. at Churchill Junior High School. A final graduation ceremony will be held on the evening of July 12.

The academy is open to individuals from 10 to 14 years of age who reside or attend school in East Brunswick. Each cadet will enjoy team-building activities and learn about respect and tolerance while having fun. The program includes field trips to New Jersey State Police and East Brunswick police facilities.

The application is available from the police administrative division or can be downloaded at www.ebpd.net or www.eastbrunswick.org. Completed applications must be returned in person between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. weekdays to the East Brunswick Police Department’s Administrative Division in police headquarter, 1 Civic Center Drive. Each application must be accompanied by the enrollment fee of $75 for each cadet.

The academy is limited to 30 cadets. The deadline for applications is June 7.
