WEST WINDSOR: Wells Fargo headquarters moving to town

WEST WINDSOR — What is Trenton’s loss is West Windsor’s gain, as major bank Wells Fargo gets ready to move its regional headquarters office in the city to the Carnegie Center off Route 1 this summer.
For six years, 32 East Front St. in Trenton was the home of the Wells Fargo headquarters, but now company officials are looking for a better place to accommodate their business and operation needs and that place is just down the highway in West Windsor.
”Our regional headquarters move to the Princeton area will enable us to have a more visible presence in this important market,” said Brenda Ross-Dulan, the regional president of Wells Fargo in southern New Jersey.
Plus, they thought their 46,000-square-foot Trenton location was too big and that a spot half that size would be better. Their new location in the second floor of the three-story building is just that at roughly 22,000 square feet.
All 60 Wells Fargo headquarters employees will be relocating to the new office, but Wells Fargo spokeswoman Emily Phillips said  the new building can house up to 80 employees.
The tentative timeline for the move to start is scheduled for mid to late July.
”We look forward to becoming more involved in the community through volunteering and participating at local nonprofits,” said Ms. Ross-Dulan. “We also want to inform local businesses and residents about the many ways in which Wells Fargo can help them achieve their financial goals and dreams.”
