Field Day is this week- marking the 75th year!
The Wesley Methodist Church, Main Street, Columbus will hold its monthly contemporary and praise worship service 7 p.m. Saturday, June 22.
Everyone is welcome.
Refreshments and fellowship will follow the service.

The New Jersey Renaissance Faire will continue to host visitors this month with open days this Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9.
The bounty this year includes a visit by William Wallace to the Shire of Crossford. This shire is home to The New Jersey Renaissance Faire, held at Liberty Lake, 1195 Florence-Columbus Road, in Mansfield Township.

The community has been invited to celebrate the 75th consecutive Field Day in Mansfield Township on Saturday, June 8.
The parade will step off at 11 a.m. this year, so please note the time change. It will be a much longer parade as some energetic people have been lining up more floats plus other attractions.
After the parade, the park will be busy will many events. For the first time, there will be a rock climbing wall as well as a mechanical bull, in addition to more entertainment.
The rain date is June 9.
There will be two bands performing in the park following the parade — the local youth band — MERCK and the Bradley Diamond Band.
Many vendors will be present in the park.
Chinese auction tickets will be given by vendors after a purchase has been made. Be sure to gather all the tickets you can by visiting all the vendors because there are some nice prizes, one being a $500. Visa card. Folks must be present to win.
The time for the drawing will be announced in the park.

A car show is also coming to Columbus on Field Day, June 8.
The Municipal Parking lot in the village of Columbus will be filed with cars. Join us with this special feature during the regular Field Day Activities, beginning at 11 a.m. with our Field Day Parade on West and East Main Street.
The roads into the village of Columbus will be closed at 10:45 am. Please plan on being in town prior to the 10:45am closure. Parking will be available at the Baptist Church, the Methodist Church, Columbus Elementary School on Locust Street, and at the site of the former lumber yard.
Please be advised that the recycling center will be closed on Saturday, June 8. It will be open on Friday, June 7 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to accommodate the residents.
Those planning a bridal shower, baby shower or a birthday party should keep in mind there is a historic building in town for events.
