   Blood drive, benefiting the American Red Cross will be held at the media center of Pond Road Middle School located 150 Pond Road from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Appointments are preferred and can be made by signing up online at www.redcrossblood.org and entering sponsor code 02215676. All presenting donors in June will be entered to win a $200 gift card.

   College Funding Boot Camp, will be offered to assist parents managing costs associated with their child’s college education without sacrificing retirement savings.    Pass My Imperfections Lightly By, offers attendees a chance to share an intimate 1876 evening with Mary Todd Lincoln as she reflects back through the many triumphs and tribulations of her life.    Geeks and Gagets, will be offered for residents who have questions about computers and electronics. The event will take place from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Robbinsville Library Branch, located at 42 Robbinsville-Allentown Road. Participants are encouraged to bring in devices for troubleshooting by members of the Mercer County Library System. There is no registration required, but participants are asked to email questions in advance to [email protected].

   Out In the Silence, an Emmy Award-winning documentary will be shown at the Plumsted Township Branch of the Ocean Township Library at 6:30 p.m. The library is located at 119 Evergreen Road, New Egypt. Filmmakers Joe Wilson and Dean Hamer take part in a grassroots movement to fight for fairness, equality and human rights for the GLBT community. Please join us for this meaningful event!    The Kick-Off Party for the Robbinsville Branch, Mercer County Library System’s popular Summer Reading Program will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. The theme this year is “Dig Into Reading.” Children can register at the event, and enjoy the strolling magic of Matt Schick, crafts, and prizes. The Summer Reading Program is for children, ages 2 to 18. The program begins July 1, and will run through Aug. 9. Children must register in person to participate in the summer reading program.    Car Show for Prevention, presented by the Upper Freehold/Allentown Alliance to Prevent Alcoholism and Drug Abuse, will take place from 5:30 p.m. – 9 p.m. at the Byron Johnson Recreation Area on Ellisdale Road in Allentown. All makes and models are welcome. There will be music, food, beverages and door prizes. A rain date of July 10 has been set. There is no entry fee, but donations are welcome.    Used book sale, will be held 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. at New Egypt Elementary School located at 44 North Main Street. Please park at the rear of the school. The sale will include a large variety of books plus jigsaw puzzles, CDs and DVDs. Sales will benefit the Friends of the Plumsted Township Library. Thursday, June 27 from 12 p.m. – 6 p.m. there will be a special kid’s only sale where only children’s books will be sold. Adults must be accompanied by a child.    Winter Storytime Sessions at the Allentown Library. Stories, songs and fun activities every Thursday at the library located at 16 S. Main St., Allentown. No pre-registration required! Schedule includes: “Good Morning Storytime” from 10:30 a.m. to 10:50 a.m. for ages 3 and under with a parent or caregiver (siblings welcome); “Preschool Storytime” from 11:15 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. for ages 3 to 5; and “Family Storytime” from 2:15 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. for all ages.
