A suspected shoplifter took a Peek-A-Boo spinning dance pole kit, worth $149.99, from Spencer’s at the Quaker Bridge Mall at 3:43 p.m. May 28. The shoplifter was described as a male, about 18 to 22 years old and standing about 5 feet 5 inches tall, with short dyed blond and orange hair.
A 39-year-old Philadelphia resident reported the theft of her purse, containing $230 cash and personal papers, from her locker at Gold’s Gym on Quakerbridge Road between 2 p.m. and 2:15 p.m. May 28. The victim said she might not have completely closed the lock on the locker.
An Eggerts Crossing Village resident reported that her 2008 Nissan Altima, valued at $2,000, was stolen from in front of her residence between 10 p.m. May 29 and 7 a.m. May 30. The car was locked.
Someone entered an office building on Spruce Street between 1 p.m. May 22 and 12:30 p.m. May 30, but nothing was reported missing. The basement door was broken to gain entry.
Carolyn Parker, 55, of Houston, was charged with attempted theft by deception for trying to con a 93-year-old Trenton woman out of $14,000 at the PNC Bank on Quakerbridge Road at 1:51 p.m. May 29.
PNC Bank employees became suspicious when the victim tried to withdraw a large sum of money. Ms. Parker told the victim that she found a bag containing $109,000 and that she would share it with her if the victim first put up some money.
Ms. Parker was taken to the Mercer County Corrections Center on $70,000 bail.
A 67-year-old Princeton resident reported the theft of her wallet from her purse while she was shopping at the Mercer Mall between 2:45 p.m. and 3 p.m. May 30. The victim said she left her purse in a shopping cart and was approached by a woman who asked her some questions. The victim said she thought nothing of it and left the store.
She discovered that her wallet was missing when she tried to pay for her purchases at another store. Her credit cards had been used at stores in at the Quaker Bridge Mall, Langhorne, Pa., and Philadelphia, totaling more than $3,000.
Dylan Crounse, 20, of Princeton Pike, was charged with possession of less than 50 grams of marijuana after the car he was driving was stopped for a motor vehicle violation on Brunswick Pike at 9:40 p.m. May 31.
Ryan Buxton, 21, of Cold Soil Road, was charged with driving under the influence and other motor vehicle violations after he was involved in a hit-and-run accident on Cold Soil Road at 2:01 a.m. June 2.
An unsuccessful attempt was made to enter a Graf Avenue residence between 11 p.m. June 1 and 4:15 a.m. June 2. The victim discovered a screen and window were open. There were no signs of forced entry and nothing was reported missing.
A 17-year-old Trenton boy was charged with shoplifting clothing and sunglasses worth a combined $134 from Sears at 4:52 p.m. June 3.
