June 10 and 12
3rd grade orientations: Program for parents of next fall’s 4th grade class at the Roosevelt School will be held at 7 p.m., Monday, June 10. Orientation for incoming 4th grade pupils is 9 a.m. at the school on Wednesday, June 12.
Tues., June 11
GOP club meeting: The Manville Republican Club meets from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the American Legion, 429 S. Main St. The club is a forum to voice concerns to elected party committee members, stay informed about issues, help plan and organize fundraising ideas or just make friends. There will be light refreshments.
Wed., June 12
Slavic dinner: St. Mary Byzantine Catholic Church monthly dinner, 4-7 p.m. in the St. Mary Parish Center, 1900 Brooks Blvd., Hillsborough. $12 for adults (ages 9 and up) and $5 for children (8 and younger) and includes all-you-can-eat pirohi, stuffed cabbage, kielbasa and sauerkraut, mashed potatoes, salad, desert and beverage. A surprise entrée will be prepared by St. Mary’s chef John Pagano. Orders to go available. For information, 908-725-0615.

Outdoor jazz: “Jazz Under the Stars,” 7 p.m. in the courtyard at Manville High School, 1100 Brooks Blvd. Big Band and swing music performed by the Garden State Jazz Orchestra, the Manville High School Jazz Band and vocalists. The Manville Music Organization sponsors to benefit the high school music program.
Concert tickets at $20 can be purchased by mail, by phone or from band members. Intermediate school graduation: 7 p.m. in school gym, North 13th Avenue.
Thurs., June 20
High school graduation: 6 p.m. on football field, weather permitting, followed by Project Graduation from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Fri., June 21
Roosevelt School open: To make up one school day, Roosevelt School will be open until 11:55 a.m. No other school will be open this day.
