   Police arrested Neisa Taffur, 20 of East Windsor, charging him with driving under the influence in a school zone June 2.
   Police said a vehicle driven by Mr. Taffur was observed failing to maintain a lane on Route 130, prompting a motor vehicle stop. During the stop, police said evidence Mr. Taffur accused was intoxicated was detected. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of marijuana.
   Mr. Taffur was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving, having a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle, failure to maintain a lane, marijuana possession and having an unregistered vehicle.
   Nicholas Sosa, 21 of Plainsboro, a passenger of the vehicle was also charged with marijuana possession.Both were released without bail, according to police.
   Police arrested Michael Polhemus, 27 of Lawrenceville, charging him with driving under the influence June 2.
   According to police, patrol responded to a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of Hankins Road and Route 130 and made contact with the accused, who reported running off the roadway and striking a utility pole guide wire.
   During the investigation, police said it was detected that Mr. Polhemus, who told authorities he was uninjured in the accident, may have been intoxicated.
   The accused was also charged with careless driving, reckless driving and failure to maintain a lane. He was released without bail, according to police.
   Police are investigating an attempted burglary after a victim met with police May 29 reporting that a while male in his late 40s had attempted to gain access through the victim’s front door.
   The victim reported the man was wearing a blue short sleeve shirt and khaki shorts and that upon being unable to gain access, left in a small blue vehicle, according to police.
   Police said there was no damage or items reported missing. There are no suspects at this time.
   Police arrested Brandon Bisignano, 26 and Kimberly Riccardi, 23 both ofJackson May 28, charging them Heroin possession with intent to distribute. Both were additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and hypodermic needles.
   According to police, patrol observed the vehicle, driven by Mr. Bisignano travelling eastbound on I-195 with an expired inspection sticker and not utilizing headlights with wiper blades in the rain, prompting a motor vehicle stop.
   During the ensuing stop, police said evidence of narcotics was detected and that the accused refused to consent to a search of the vehicle, which was then impounded.
   Police said a search warrant was applied for and approved by Mercer County Superior Court. The subsequent search revealed Heroin, drug paraphernalia and the needles.
   Mr. Bisignano was also charged with driving with being a suspended/unlicensed driver and failure to maintain a lane. Both were released without bail, according to police.
