Laura Blum from Hillsborough was recently inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society at the Geneseo campus of the State University of New York. Juniors or seniors with a grade-point average in the top 15 percent of their class are eligible for membership. Golden Key International Honour Society provides academic recognition to top-performing college and university students as well as scholarships and awards, career and internship opportunities, networking, service and leadership development opportunities.
Ashley Hengerer of Hillsborough earned dean’s list honors for the spring semester at High Point (N.C.) University. She earned at least a 3.5 grade-point average.
Chris Rossi, a junior and criminal justice major at Long Island University’s C.W. Post campus, was named to the dean’s list for the spring semester. Chris is a starting offensive lineman for the Post Pioneers and was recently accepted into the accelerated criminal justice master’s degree program with an anticipated graduation in May 2015.
Simone Rudich of Hillsborough earned the spring semester dean’s list at Gwynedd-Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, Pa. The college prepares students to become professionals in the fields of allied health professions, arts and sciences, business, education and nursing.
Kathryn Dooley of Hillsborough, a 2012 graduate of Immaculata High School, was named to the dean’s list at the University of Connecticut for the fall and spring semesters, and was inducted in Alpha Lambda Delta, the national honor society for first-year students.
Michael Charles Subach of Hillsborough has been named to the dean’s list at The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, in Charleston, for the spring semester. Students must attain a grade-point average of 3.2 or higher with no grade below a C.
Michael is a member of the South Carolina Corps of Cadets and is working toward a degree in history.
Lauren Lindsay Hess of Hillsborough has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the Pennsylvania State University, University Park campus.
Hillsborough’s Lexie Ballah, a senior elementary education major, earned the Dean’s List status for the spring semester at Coastal Carolina University in Conway, S.C.
To qualify, upperclassmen must earn a 3.5 grade-point average and be enrolled full time.
