Ravens, Allentown send athletes to Meet of Champions track

Noel Jancewicz won three gold medals at the Group II girls state track and field championships on Friday and Saturday. The Robbinsville High School senior claimed the high jump with a 5-foot-6 clearance to earn the top seed going into Wednesday’s scheduled Meet of Champions. She won the 400 meters in 55.41 seconds, good for the fourth seed going into the MOC.
Kaitlyn Koss was fifth in the 400 meters in 58.62 seconds. Koss, Paris Hughes, Kelly Koss and Jancewicz won the 4×400 in 3:55.49. The 4×800 of Erin Holzbaur, Julia Borowski, Hughes and Alexis Stringfellow ran 9:58.54 for 10th place. Kristen Kowalski placed 13th in the javelin at 106-feet. The Ravens’ 4×100 of Myana Morris-Bullock, Lauren Thompson, Emily Langsdorf and Julia Fahey was 19th in 52.58 seconds.
In the Group II boys state meet, Robbinsville freshman Zachary Michon placed ninth in the boys 1600 in 4:26.95. The Ravens’ 4×800 of Ryan Gross, Michael Colonna, Michon and Nicholas Brennan ran 8:30.99 for 20th place.
In the Group III girls state title meet, Roxanne Redwood was eighth in the long jump with a 16-feet-9¾ mark. Abigail Lubeski was 16th and Anne Lee was 23rd in the long jump. Redwood placed ninth in the triple jump after going 35-2. Lee took 11th with 34-8. Carly DuBrosky was 13th in the 400 hurdles in 1:05.39 and 18th in the 100 hurdles in 15.69 seconds.
In the Group III boys state championship, Allentown’s Daivone Thomas was 12th in the discus with a throw of 135-feet. Mike Fritsky cleared 11-feet for 23rd in the pole vault.
