Adam and Eve Salon will donate to Steeplechase Cancer Center
Adam & Eve Salon and Spa in the Bottle King Shopping Center at 626 Route 206 South will join the fight against cancer by holding a fundraising event for Steeplechase Cancer Center on Friday, June 21, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
One-half of the salon’s service price, as well as 25 percent, of all product sales to support Somerset Medical Center’s Steeplechase Cancer Center in hopes to bring support to our local families in their time of need.
Patients at the Steeplechase Cancer Center can receive free haircuts and wig cutting. A $5 donation is asked for fun hair extensions and glitter tattoos for kids.
A $10 minimum donation entitles a person to a complimentary manicure or brow waxing.
Any donation enters donors into a $100 gift basket drawing.
Eclectique Collection jewelry will be displayed and donate 20 to30 percent of proceeds.
Enjoy music, refreshments and snacks while donating.
Health Coach Paul Szabocsik from Return to Good Health LLC will give nutritional guidance.
In 2011 an estimated 49,000 people in New Jersey were diagnosed with cancer and more than 16,000 died from the disease. In Somerset County alone, each week an average of 30 individuals are diagnosed with cancer and about 10 individuals die.
The Steeplechase Cancer Center at Somerset Medical Center enables cancer patients to see their doctors, undergo outpatient treatment and participate in center research studies all in one place close to home.
”We are all very passionate about the event because we have had many clients that have attended or are attending the center,” said Nicole Kersis, business manager at the salon.
