ROBBINSVILLE: Two auto stops lead to heroin charges for seven

Township police have charged seven people with possession of heroin following two separate motor vehicle stops in the past week.

   ROBBINSVILLE — Township police have charged seven people with possession of heroin following two separate motor vehicle stops in the past week.One set of arrests took place at 3:30 p.m. June 5 on Robbinsville-Allentown Road while the second took place on I-195 east near Exit 7 on June 9.
   Three shore-area residents were charged with multiple drug charges following the motor vehicle stop on Robbinsville-Allentown Road.
   Police charged Robert Dosil, 32, of Toms River, Shannon Flynn, 34, of South Toms River, and Darina Belokrylets, 24, of Point Pleasant with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle.
   The three were in a car that police said failed to signal before making a turn in the Corporate Drive area. Police said Patrolman Scott Kivet saw evidence that narcotics was present and searched the vehicle.
   The search also turned up a Pennsylvania driver’s license, a debit card and checks that had been reported stolen from Toms River.
   The three were arrested, processed and charged.
   In addition to the drug charges, Ms. Belokrylets was charged with possession of stolen property and with hindering apprehension for giving police a false name. She was turned over to Lakewood police on a $15,000 warrant for fraud.
   Mr. Dosil was turned over to Brick police on a $2,500 warrant for theft.
   Ms. Flynn was also charged with failure to signal a turn and possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle. She was released on her own recognizance.
   Patrolman Kivet was the arresting officer again when he saw a vehicle fail to maintain its lane on I-195 east about 6:30 p.m. on June 9, police reported.
   The vehicle was stopped and the officer conducted a search after determining there was evidence of narcotics present, finding a large quantity of heroin, police said.
   Joseph Anzalone, 26, of Howell, Amelia Bates, 25, of Howell, Lance Virzi, 27, of Jackson and Matthew Kennedy, 27, of Freehold were charged with possession of heroin. Mr. Kennedy and Mr. Virzi were also charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
   Mr. Anzalone was also charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle, failure to maintain a lane, and having an obstructed front view.
   Mr. Kennedy was also charged with possession of a hypodermic needle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
   All were charged, processed and released pending a court appearance.
