Anna A. Martucci

Mrs. Martucci, 92, of Hazlet, died June 5, 2013, at home. She was born Sept. 1, 1920, in Manhattan, N.Y. She grew up in Newark and had lived in Aberdeen. She volunteered during World War II. She retired as a teacher for the Aberdeen Township school system. She was predeceased by her husband, Dominick “Nick” Martucci; a sister, Eleanor Franco; two brothers, Nicholas Alfano and Dr. Gerard Alfano; a sister-in-law, Josephine Alfano; and two brothers-in-law, Joseph Vazzano and Frederick Neri. She is survived by two sons, John Martucci and his wife, Linda, of North Carolina, and Michael Martucci and his wife, Susan, of Linwood; two daughters, Carol Curley and her husband, James, of Toms River, and Lisa Cooney and her husband, Edward, of Hazlet; a daughter-inlaw, Laura Martucci; three sisters, Michelina Fasone and her husband, Nick, Gloria Vazzano and Jeanette Neri; a brother, Michael Alfano and his wife, Ceil; two sisters-in-law, Angela Alfano and Rose Alfano; seven grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hazlet. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Catherine’s Roman Catholic Church, Middletown, followed by entombment at Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel.

Helen G. Janssen

Mrs. Janssen, 86, of Howell, formerly of Freehold, died June 6, 2013, at home. She became a registered nurse in 1948 and was employed at the Montgomery Nursing Home, Freehold, from 1979-90. Following her retirement, she was a volunteer at the Howell Senior Citizens Center. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond, in 1978; a son, Raymond, in 1986; and a daughter, Catherine, in 2010. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rob and his wife, Shelley, of Haddonfield, and David and wife, Christine, of Wall Township; four daughters and sons-in-law, Carl and Doug of Wall Township, Eileen and Pete of Easton, Md., Christine and Paul of Matawan, and Nadine and Lou of Long Branch; 15 grandchildren; and a brother, Charles Gerdes and his wife, Lise, of St. Petersburg, Fla. A funeral Mass was held at St Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, Farmingdale. Interment was private. Memorial donations may be made to the Howell Senior Citizens Center, P.O. Box 580, Howell, NJ, 07731. Arrangements were by the Clayton & Mc- Girr Funeral Home, Freehold Township.

Deborah H. DiBello

Mrs. DiBello, 60, of Hazlet, died June 4, 2013, at home. She was born Jan. 25, 1953, in Elizabeth. She grew up in Westfield and had lived in Flemington and Edison. She is survived by her husband, Anthony J. Di- Bello; her mother, Rose Marie (Firobent) Hysick; and a sister, Brenda Kull and her husband, Alan, of Oxford. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Hazlet. A service was offered at Trinity Episcopal Church, Matawan. Cremation was private.

Deborah Ann Caruso Podolsky

Mrs. Podolsky, 56, of the Morganville section of Marlboro, formerly of Cliffwood Beach and Union Beach, died June 6, 2013, at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. She was employed by George Rooney, D.M.D., and as an operating room technician at Bayshore Community Hospital, Holmdel. Mrs. Podolsky was predeceased by her father, Augustine Caruso. Surviving are her husband, Michael Podolsky; a son, Michael Podolsky and wife, Kristen, of the Leonardo section of Middletown; two daughters, Desirae Podolsky and her husband, Michael Martocci, of Morganville, and Danielle Lowther and her husband, Christopher, of Union Beach; her mother, Dolores Caruso; two brothers, Carmine Caruso and his wife, Colleen, and Augustine Caruso; two sisters, Sherri Caruso, and Julie Ann Vassallo and her husband, Andy; and four grandchildren. A funeral Mass was held at St. Clement’s Church, Matawan. Interment was in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport. Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P.O. Box 11454 Alexandria, VA 22312. Arrangements were by the Waitt Funeral Home, Morganville.

Mary Ann Zawinski

Ms. Zawinski, 52, of Keyport, died May 28, 2013, at home. She was born Feb. 6, 1961, in Wexford, Pa., where she was raised. She served in the U.S. Navy. She was predeceased by her father, Mike Zawinski. She is survived by her partner of 15 years, Emilie Marcucci; her mother, Theresa Hornick Zawinski, of Wexford; two brothers, Michael Zawinski, of Raleigh, N.C., and John Zawinski, of Pittsburgh, Pa.; three sisters, Theresa Karnes and her husband, Steven, of Pittsburgh, Karen Sorce and her husband, John, of Harmony, Pa., and Joyce Krebs, of Valencia, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were entrusted to the Shore Point Funeral Home and Cremation Service, Hazlet. Cremation was private.
