HILLSBOROUGH: Urgent-care health center to open Monday

Somerset Medical Center operates Route 206 facility

   Somerset Medical Center will open a new urgent care health center in Hillsborough on Monday, June 17, providing walk-in family medical care seven days a week.
   Somerset Medical Center Urgent Care at Hillsborough is located at 751 Route 206 North between Homestead Road and Raider Boulevard.
   The center treats a wide range of minor injuries and illnesses in children and adults, such as:
   • Upper respiratory conditions, such as coughs, colds, flu, sore throat, allergies, ear infections, sinus infections and bronchitis;
   • Nausea and vomiting, diarrhea, urinary tract infections, rashes, insect bites and headaches, and
   • Minor sprains, strains, cuts, fractures and neck pain.
   On-site X-ray and lab testing services are available.
   The facility is staffed by physicians who are certified in emergency medicine, including physicians from Somerset Medical Center’s Emergency Department. The physicians work closely with patient’s primary care doctors to coordinate follow-up care. Patients and their doctors will be able to electronically access their records and test results through Somerset Health Connect, a website portal that provides password-protected medical information.
   The new center is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and weekends and holidays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. No appointments are necessary. Most major insurance plans are accepted.
