Lawrenceville, N.J. – Regional law firm Parker McCay announces the promotion of Carl Tanksley, Jr. to Counsel. Tanksley is based out of the Lawrenceville, N.J. office and concentrates his practice in the area of school law, representing boards of education in all areas affecting their operation.
Prior to joining Parker McCay, Tanksley served as Counsel for the New Jersey School Boards Association where he represented over 600 public school districts in matters before the New Jersey Appellate Division, New Jersey Supreme Court, District Court of New Jersey, and the Third Circuit Court of Appeals. Tanksley was also responsible for implementing Ethics Act training for school board members, designing curriculum and ensuring training compliance through the School Ethics Commission. Tanksley has also drafted legislation and worked to ensure passage of statutes and regulations designed to benefit public education. In addition, he has authored two books and several published articles on New Jersey school law.
Tanksley earned his law degree from Rutgers University School of Law and his bachelor’s degree from Drexel University. He is admitted to practice law in New Jersey.
