Police arrested Joshua Fortes, 19 of Robbinsville, charging him with marijuana possession June 15. Mr. Fortes’ vehicle was stopped by police after he was observed failing to utilize a turn signal in the area of routes 130 and 33.
During a motor vehicle stop on Sharon Road, police said evidence of narcotics was detected. A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed a small quantity of marijuana. Mr. Fortes was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle and failure to signal a turn.
The accused was released without bail.
Police arrested Bryan Sahlin, 26 and Kyla Stevens, 23 both of Toms River, charging the pair with a bevy of drug-related charges including heroin possession with intent to distribute June 14.
The arrests were made, police said, after patrol observed the accused driving on I-195 with a rejected inspection sticker. During the ensuing traffic stop, police said evidence of narcotics were observed.
A subsequent search of the vehicle revealed “a large quantity” of heroin individually packaged into 638 small bags, according to police. Also discovered were hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia.
The pair was also charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance in a vehicle, possession of hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia. Mr. Sahlin was also charged with failure to inspect. The pair were transported to Mercer County Workhouse having been unable to post bail, which was set at $75,000 with no 10 percent option by Robbinsville Municipal Court.
Police arrested a Forked River man June 11, charging with heroin possession. Brian Roksvagg, 26, was arrested after patrol observed his vehicle traveling east on I-195 with no front plate. The vehicle was also following too closely, according to police.
During a subsequent motor vehicle, police said evidence of narcotics was present. An ensuing search revealed a small quantity heroin in addition to hypodermic needles and drug paraphernalia, which led to additional charges.
The accused was released without bail.
Police arrested Geovanny Urgilez, 27, of East Windsor, charging the accused with burglary of a motor vehicle June 15 at the Trails End Motel.
An officer responding to the scene, located on Route 130, discovered the accused sleeping in the passenger side of the victim’s vehicle, according to police. The victim reported to police they did not know the accused and did not report anything missing.
The accused was transported to Mercer County Workhouse in default of $2,500 bail, which was set by Robbinsville Municipal Court with no 10 percent option.
